Applications:
Engine rooms, compressor chambers, small power plant chambers, and any sound source that needs to be restricted to indoor or outdoor space. Various devices in the industry are loud and produce annoying noise. To control noise pollution, one way is to use an acoustic room.
Acoustic rooms are designed in such a way that if they are located indoors, they do not need any maintenance. For rooms exposed to outside air and rain, all joints must be carefully sealed with silicone adhesive. Welding areas need to be inspected every six months. If rust is observed, the rusted parts should be removed with a wire brush and Zinc rich spray should be applied to the area.

Design of an Acoustic Enclosure for the CHP Power Generator at Ferdowsi 2 (Zeytoon) Commercial Complex

This project was carried out in the summer of 2016 by Sanat Project Toos Company with the objective of controlling noise pollution generated by the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generator installed at the Zeytoon Commercial Complex in Mashhad. Noise source data were obtained from the equipment manufacturer, and based on this information, the density, thickness, and material composition of the acoustic panels were determined.

The primary objective of the acoustic design was to reduce the emitted noise levels to meet permissible environmental noise standards. According to regulatory standards, the allowable sound pressure level in residential areas must be below 55 dB(A) during daytime hours and below 45 dB(A) during nighttime hours.

The acoustic panels (sound absorbers) used in the enclosure are illustrated in the figure below.
