One of the primary contributors to noise pollution is the discharge of compressed air from the air dryer reservoir into the ambient environment. To mitigate this acoustic contamination, a muffler (silencer) is employed at the air exhaust point. As illustrated in the diagram, within the muffler, air is vented from its housing surface directly into the surroundings. Among the key advantages of mufflers are their low cost and the feasibility of fabrication in diverse dimensions, particularly compact sizes.
